Hello there, lovely person! My name is Kirsten. I am a makeup junkie, organizational nerd, God lover, fashion merchandising major, and the author of this blog. :)

Whimsy & Willpower started as a way for my best friend, Sarah, and I to keep in touch when I went off to college. I would ask her what advice she needed, and I would make a blog post about it. Eventually, it became something I did on my own. It became mine. I love writing blog posts, and I especially love making the graphics. Whimsy & Willpower became one of my passions.

Whimsy & Willpower is a lifestyle blog. That simply means that I have so many interests that I want to share, that I can’t narrow down my blog to one topic haha. I write about beauty, fashion, life, faith, and pretty much anything else.

- I love graphic design, stationary, making to-do lists, and road trips.

- Netflix (especially Reign, Hawaii 5-O, One Tree Hill, and Arrow) is life.

- I have really long hair. And one of my favorite things to do when it gets super long is donate it to Beautiful Lengths, who then makes my hair and others’ into wigs for women with cancer.

- I write “haha” after some of the things I say, especially when texting, just to show that, yes, I was in fact laughing in my head.

- My favorite Bible verse is Luke 1:45, which says, “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her.”

- I am an ENFP and Type Seven (The Enthusiast) on the Enneagram.
